About Sandy
With a background of over 18 years in the NHS, much of it in helping individuals and teams to improve their effectiveness, Sandy Burnham was drawn to a newspaper article on time management. Realising that the feature was about clinical hypnosis something clicked strongly into place. For a while she had felt she wanted to make even more of a difference and this was it. This led her to a new and rewarding career as a hypnotherapist practising clinical and cognitive behavioural hypnosis.
Training
Sandy trained at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and became a member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis*. Since 1996 she has been practising clinical hypnosis and cognitive behavioural hypnosis in the Scottish Borders.
Making a Difference
Sandy can make a difference to the lives of many people seeking help with:

- phobias such as flying
- confidence in interviews
- public speaking
and many more conditions which respond positively to professional clinical hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy.
Sessions
Each session, which is confidential*, lasts an hour, weekdays and evenings. An average of three to six sessions is required to treat most conditions. The cost ranges from £40 - £47 per session.
Sandy does not work with severe mental illness, weight control or smoking cessation.
*The British Society of Hypnotherapists (BSCH) is a national professional body whose aim is to promote and assure high standards in the practice of hypnotherapy. Registration demands good quality training, ethical practice and adherence to their code of conduct.
